Dawson Capital Management is an independent asset raising and fund introduction consultancy based in Singapore, but globally mobile. We connect exceptional investment opportunities with global investors in niche areas.
We identify unique opportunities in public and private markets and match these investments to a world-class investor base. We specialize in funding for high-quality thematic hedge funds and bespoke private equity offerings supporting low-carbon energy-efficiency, circularity, and sustainability around the globe.
Under our asset raising consulting services, Dawson Capital Management assists large scale institutional asset allocators in need of high-quality additional assets under management (AUM) based on appropriate criteria into hedge funds, money managers, and other select public market opportunities.
We connect boutique world-class asset managers to large-scale representatives seeking differentiation in a rapidly commoditized, over-crowded, and sometimes statistically indistinguishable hedge fund industry.
The other area of the capital raising ecosystem where we assist world-class institutional investors is in fostering direct investments in specific unlisted superior stand-alone sustainable investment opportunities. We help institutional investors to invest in high-impact sustainability themes while enhancing their long-term returns.
As global institutional investors try to capture these new opportunities to align portfolios with low-carbon mandates, we connect excellent stand-alone high-impact commercial opportunities in the circular economy, sustainability, and renewable energy.

We work with investment teams that have decades of specialized institutional finance experience, extensive risk governance, thematic expertise, and outstanding risk-adjusted returns. Our investment partners have unique skill sets, long-standing track records of compounding returns, operate with high integrity, and a well-executed investment process.
We evaluate the pedigree of the investment team, qualitatively and quantitatively analyze their fund performance, track their beta, dissect their alpha, and identify the key characteristics that drive performance.
We work closely with our investment partners to fully understand their investment criteria so that we can introduce the right institutional investor to our client's investment team.
Anticipating the growing need for climate-related investing, we focus on private offerings that seek to integrate climate risks and provide superior investment returns.
Recognizing the urgent necessity for value creation in sustainable investing and realizing a significant part of sustainable innovation remains in the unlisted market, we focus on specific unique opportunities in clean energy, the circular economy, and areas of sustainability.
All of our assisted offerings have a world-class team backed by a revenue-generating business with more than $1M-$2M in current annual revenue. The commercial solution typically is selected for an innovative technology or a patented energy-efficient process which offers profitability, reliability, scalability, and sustainability.
CAPITAL RAISING
We identify investment opportunities in high-quality hedge funds that outperform consistently and source private equity offerings that have strong potential for future growth, measurable high-impact suitability, and profitable, timely exits.
Typically we assist with and consult capital raises ranging from 10M to 50M plus. All incentives are correctly aligned so that short and long-term incentives follow best practices and compensation is designed in alignment with the interest of the investment team and the institutional investor. We discretely connect investors who have been screened for suitability with strategies or sustainable projects that match their specific interest.
After funding is complete, we continue to maintain close client relationships and provide additional support by using agreed upon tailored metrics, and in private offerings, we regard climate-related outcomes as part of our monitoring and ongoing follow up.

Wade Dawson, founder, and principal, launched Dawson Capital to connect outstanding investment opportunities with institutional investors in niche areas. With almost 20 years of international financial consulting experience providing bespoke portfolio management services to a range of businesses and high net worth individuals in Asia and Africa, Wade has an established track record of leading financial consulting teams, building strong client relations, and growing boutique offices across multiple markets.
Prior to launching Dawson Capital Management, Wade recently served as Vice President of Investor Relations and Business Development for Lighthouse Canton, an integrated asset manager with half a Billion US dollars under management and advisory with offices in Singapore and Dubai. In that role, he engaged a global network of institutional and accredited investors.
Before joining Lighthouse Canton, Wade was the Africa Regional Manager and a Senior Partner at Austen Morris Associates (AMA), a British financial planning firm with 1 Billion US dollars under management and advisory. As the Africa Regional Manager from 2013-2016, he was responsible for managing consultants and administrative staff for both offices in Johannesburg and Cape Town, and expanding AMA’s suite of financial advisory services in across Sub-Saharan Africa.
Wade was a licensed representative in South Africa and Singapore in his previous roles. Before moving to South Africa in 2013, he spent 11 years working in Shanghai and Beijing, China for Austen Morris Associates where he held roles as Senior Partner, Partner, Senior Regional Associate, and Branch Manager.
Before beginning his financial services career in 2001 with two years at Equity International, Wade previously worked in the International Division of Tyson Foods and taught International Baccalaureate (IB) Economics. Wade holds a BA in Political Science and a Minor in Economics from Tulane University. While an undergraduate at Tulane, he studied at American University, London School of Economics, and the University of Cambridge.
Wade has been invited to deliver numerous presentations in Asia and Africa, provided multiple media interviews, and authored dozens of investment articles for newsletters, websites, and magazines.
